MD, Green Business Development
Egbert runs the business development and sustainable ventures consultancy Green Business Development in Berlin. He is known for designing projects at the interface between digital and green economy and for developing and implementing market entry strategies for foreign companies. He started building companies in the media industry. Egbert has not only gained experience in funding sustainable companies but also possesses a good network in the sustainable finance as well as in the new mobility sector and in the start-up industry.
Egbert graduated in media and communication at the LMU Munich as well as in international journalism at the Institut Francais de Presse at Univ Paris II. In 2004 he founded Green Business Development GmbH (formerly known as HM Media & Ventures), a consultancy based in Berlin and in the Frankfurt area. Previously, he was publishing director at Cosmopolitan Magazine. During his time as managing director of Germany’s most famous eco-watchdog magazine Öko-Test, Egbert evolved into an enthusiast in organic lifestyle and sustainable business.
